Sayan Chowdhury holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B). His doctoral dissertation in the area of Production and Operations Management (POM) at IIM B explores how firms can incorporate sustainable business practices without sacrificing their profitability. He has presented his work in reputed domestic and international conferences. Prior to joining Ph. D., Sayan has 3+ years of industry experience in construction and product management. After completing his B.E. in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University, he pursued his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi after working as a civil engineer for 2 years. His research interest includes Green Supply Chains, Sustainable Operations and Circular Economy. His current work focuses on emerging business models and sustainable supply chains leveraging emerging technologies.Outside of work he enjoys reading, watching plays, and playing the guitar.
